The Woman with an issue of Blood.  (Luke 8: 43-48)

 

And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years, but no one could heal her.  She came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak, and immediately her bleeding stopped.  "Who touched me?" Jesus asked.  When they all denied it, Peter said, "Master, the people are crowding and pressing against you."  But Jesus said, "Someone touched me; I know that power has gone out from me."  Then the woman, seeing that she could not go unnoticed, came trembling and fell at his feet.  In the presence of all the people, she told why she had touched him and how she had been instantly healed.  Then he said to her, "Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace."

 

For 12 years a woman was dealing with an issue that was visible to the entire community to see and JUDGE.  No one had the right answers for her though they provided them.  Her resources were depleted because she had tried what others had offered her.  We all have issues just like this woman and may have tried man-made remedies such as alcohol, drugs and even MEN.   Please ladies, let's not be fooled...there is nothing new under the sun, just as the woman's resources were depleted ours will be too - chasing after temporary fixes.  She was talked about, mistreated, scorned and alienated.  She was called unworthy and unclean.  She was ridiculed.  She may have tried covering up herself in front of others thinking they wouldn't know, hiding out at home as if the issue would go away by itself, or even considered suicide to end the issue.  After 12 years, she must have been exhausted, felt dirty, looked at herself as unworthy, been worn out, and thought herself useless.

 

One day she heard about a man (JESUS) that was going about the region healing people and made up in her mind that it was worth a try - after all NOTHING else had worked.  Once she made contact with the Father, her issue SUDDENLY and IMMEDIATELY was dried up.  At that time, she was able to openly and freely tell in front of what must have been hundreds of people about the healing powers of JESUS (JEHOVAH ROPHE - OUR HEALER). 

 

God is not so busy that He doesn't have the time to listen and pay attention to us.  Our problems are not insignificant in His eyes - we are the apple of His eye and there isn't anything that He would not do for us.   We don't have to deal with our problems for 12 years - He says in His Word to come all who are heavy-laden and He will give us rest.  No one can heal us like the Father...He wants us to touch Him as much as He wants to touch us.  All we have to do is make our way to the Throne Room and enter into the Holy of Holies.  He went to Calvary's cross for YOU and for ME!  The veil was rented (torn) (Matthew 27:51), meaning we have FREE access to the Father, we don't have to push through a crowd.

 

Today is your 12th year and are YOU willing to touch JESUS!!  NO APPOINTMENT IS NEEDED!!
